• Kati refers to the lower back and Basti refers to retaining something to it, in this case warm medicated oil. 
• It is the procedure of applying heat to the sacral or lumbar region by retaining warm medicated oil by using a specially formed frame, made of dough.
• This Ayurvedic treatment is done for low back pain, and disorders of the lumbosacral region including slip disc.
